What Now? White Nationalism and the World After the 2020 Election
ISO x MIIS

Virtual: go/whatnow
7:00 - 9:00 PM

Hosted by Isaac Byrne ’21, Professor Orion Lewis and Professor Brittany Stallings

It is no secret that neo-fascist violence and white supremacist violence has risen over the last four years. Whether the attacks took place in France, New Zealand, or the United States, the question remains: How must we tackle this? To begin to grapple with this question, we will be joined by experts from the Monterey Institute of International Studies to explore white nationalism and the world after the 2020 election.

Conversations: Borders

Virtual: go/zoomiso | In-Person: Mitchell Green Lounge, 3rd Floor MCC
9:00 - 10:00 PM

Hosted by Ryo Nishikubo ‘23.5 and Patrick Kuruga ’23.

Borders demarcate and determine not just movement but the way we make sense of life. What borders do we encounter in our daily lives and how might we reinforce some while crossing others? What does it mean to “cross” the border? We will grapple with these questions through the length of music and sharing conversation, to better understand ourselves and others.
